President Mary McAleese Opens Nature Reserve featuring Ecoplastic Boardwalk

After months of planning, Birdwatch Ireland's East Coast Nature Reserve, which features a newly installed Ecoplastic Boardwalk, was recently opened by Irish President Mary McAleese.

Birdwatch Ireland chose Ecoplastic Boardwalk to furnish the site with an access walkway across environmentally sensitive bog meadow and fen. Ecoplastic is maintenance free, will not rot or break and is inert in water - preventing harmful chemicals from leaking into the ground.

The boardwalk will not require expensive or possibly hazardous treatments to maintain it and will keep its good looks for years longer than a wood or steel alternative.
